Caterers For Kiawah Island

Caterers
Since the Holidays are right around the corner. I thought I would start the recommendations with catering companies that were suggested.  I will add contact information as I find it.

Crave was suggested and it is located just off the island on Bohicket Road.

I heartily recommend Mike Petrillo, owner, Executive chef of Crave.  He created and served an extraordinary 4 course meal to a party of 10 at my home this weekend; a month ago he served 10 original, very creative, delicious appetizers , hot and cold to a party of 100 at my home.! His
prices are highly competitive, cuisine and service impeccable!

His contact information is:

Hamby's is another suggested caterer. This would be great for a brunch or lunch event.

Call Chef Andy @ 843.860.5347. Email at: http://www.blogger.com/www.heirloomcooking1@hotmail.com"Great chef for house parties. Knows low country fare and wines. He can pretty much cook whatever you desire. Andy shops, cooks, serves - he does it all."

I can not rave enough about Gourmet Bay.  Wonderful to work with and very helpful price wise.
Newton (Newton Farms) was very nice to work with but my experience with the food, puts Gourmet Bay way in front.
(Don't miss the tomato pie!!)

I strongly recommend Tracy Bentz with Island Outdoor Kitchen and Catering.  His number is 843-830-3024.

Trace Paradis, formerly chef at Red Sky is very good. You can email him at bigchefp@hotmail.com also Enan Parezo is excellent. His email is enan@chefenan.com. Both will cook only, or cook and serve as requested.  Both have online menus as well.

You might also want to try Bobo Lee at SOUTHERN AFFAIRS - 843-869-9003.  Here is a short blub about Bobo in Men's Vogue:

I have found Hege's to do exceptional catering.

We used (Charles) Skip Driggs.  He fed 45 people, did an outstanding job and was very fairly priced. He works for the Kiawah Island Club as a chef/cook. His cell ph is (757) 206-5229 and email is:
skipdriggs@yahoo.com.

As more come in, they will be added to the list.

  1. Food plays a major role in making an event successful. It is also necessary to select the best food option and catering service. It is better to hire finger food catering for parties and birthdays. Anyway, I really enjoyed reading your post so informative.

  2. You were very thoughtful on adding a page on caterers in your area. I think every blogger should recommend what they have tried like you did here. How about adding a listing for outside your area as well? Like Caterers in Sacramento? Sacramento Catering
